I have a windows ME computer which i want to upgrade it to Xp without loosing any thing

the easiest and fastest way is to get another hard drive... take out the old one and put the new one in and install XP on that and make it the master drive with the jumper pins on the back of the drive.... then with your old hard drive put it in underneath the new one and set the jumper pins to cable select... this way you can have all your data with out loosing a thing. once XP is installed on the new drive you can delete windows off the old drive

I just finished upgrading my daughters PC from ME to XP home without affecting anything. I used an upgrade disk rather than a full install.

only one way.save your applications and files to disc then install after you update your new windows OS.
