Are they both spayed? Sounds like a territoral issue- if they aren't spayed, the victim could be in heat or pregnant.

If they are spayed, keep them seperated and try reintroducing them- could be they just had a tiff.

Either way, the wounded kitty should get checked out by a vet- especially if they go outside, who knows what could be in that wound now.

Good luck!

I had the exact same thing happen and was told that sometimes with 2 female cats, even if they are both fixed as mine are, the scent of a male cat in the area even the slightest scent will bring out a fighting instinct. Do NOT panic. keep the cats separated if you can over night, and then reintroduce them to each other nice and slow. In our case...by the next morning, both the cats had forgotten all about it and everything was cool but MAN was the furr flying for a while. good luck.

I've never had this problem to the extent that you have. But I think confining the aggressor for "time out" in the kennel is a step in the right direction. When you let her out and she does the exact same thing to the other cat, pick her up again and march her to the "sin bin." But don't keep her there too long - just long enough for her to realize what she is there for and that fighting with the other cat will result in "sin bin."

Oh, to separate two cats in a cat fight, douse or spray them with water. The water spraying could also persuade both cats that it isn't fun to fight with each other.

Thanks for NOT spanking Midnight. Hitting cats for bad behavir NEVER works.

Keep them in different rooms closed doors, that way they are not really caged but apart. Check the one thats hurted just in case is nothing major. Observe them and give the bugger a lot of attention. I dont know really how long theyve been together but something has chaged recently so the one is attacking the other. Watch them closely and find out what is different. Good luck and check the hurted one dont forget. Oh! one more thing keep the claws clipped so they are not so dangerous next time.

i comprehend this sounds like a no brainier, yet as quickly as you get her out make unquestionably specific that she will't bypass lower back or locate the different annoying to get to lair. I as quickly as had a cat that no rely what we did to make her a place via the homestead she could continuously flow her kittens to someplace else. in lots of cases basically studying and poking around somewhat could be sufficient that she could flow to a sparkling hiding place. in case you're cat got here across a hiding place like that interior the 1st place she won't be going to love you interfering and if she will detect a sparkling spot, she will.

if midnight is a guy did you have him fixed? that calms them down. if midnight is a girl then they might just be getting jealous of each other. try to keep them in different rooms, and maybe take midnight to the vet to see if hes sick, sometimes if cats are hurt, they will get pissed off and attack something if they are bugging them.
