I have a sore under my arm sort of near my arm pit. It goes away for a while and then comes back again. It's kind of shaped like a pimple, but it's softer than that. It's red, but the tip is white. What could it be?

it could be a skin irritation of some sort from the edge of your bra or something

It could be an ingrown hair or perhaps an infected hair follicle. Go to the doctor. I had an infected follicle earlier this year and it was very painful, the doc squeezed it for me and said that it is always best to have them looked at because the sac of pus can grow to the size of a grapefruit in less than 24 hrs.

It could be the start of a staff infection. I had one once on my leg and once I popped it (don't recommend this) my leg was red and swollen within days. And once I broke the skin the sore only got larger. Once a staff infection is in your blood it can pop up anywhere on your body...I would get it checked out at a clinic to be on the safe side...

It could just be an irritation from chafing, your clothing, or even your laundry soap. Try washing it with a gentle soap and rubbing it with alcohol, then cover with a bandaid. See if it goes away. If it bothers you or gets worse, see a dermatologist.

It might be a bug bite. That happened to me once, also. Try popping it once you see it come up again, which would get rid of the poison. Then put peroxide on it twice a day, once in the morning, once at night. See if that works. It might work even if it isn't a bug bite. Good luck!

it could be an ingrown hair. try to pop the pimple like thing and clean it good and dont use deoderant on it just powder a little. see if this works. good luck and happy holidays.

hahahahaha a zit! Or something in that area I get them too. OH I think they call it a whate headThey have the little white dots on the top right? Yeah. Just buy one of those products that get rid of them. Clearasel works great and so does clean and clear.

Sounds like swollen lymph node or possibly infected lymph node my suggestion is to just go to doctor and check it out.

whitehead - most dangerous form of pimple - try bathing often and properly washing that area real well.
apply hot water (not scalding) with a cotton ball to the area.
