I think this would be a great new rule for MMA. When the round is over the fighter who won the round by the judges should get one free shot at the opponent. This mean the winner of the round get ONE free shot either with knee or a punch to the face or a kick to the face. Just one free shot, I think this would spice up the sport way more and show who is more manly then the other fighter. Again one free shot on the loser of the round (legal shot).

You obviously know nothing about mma or fighitng in general, and you are no fan either. That is a terrible idea, fighting is about who is the best. No free shots, no special treatment.

One free shot? Everyone would be dead if that happened. The UFC fighters are not just mindless huge people that can hit hard. They've studied many different styles and combined it to form MMA. If they had one free shot, meaning no interference and they could hit anywhere and as hard as they wanted, the winner of the round would just kill the other person. And they know the weaknesses of a person.

Here's another thought...have every single competitor in the tourny ALL get into the ring at once. That would pretty much take care of all the grappling. Who's gonna roll around on the floor hugging someone while someone else is kicking the crap outta them? Grapplers should remember this, the only reason the UFC and Pride is full of grapplers is that it is a one-on-one competition. I could beat the crap out of Liddel MYSELF if Gracie was down there holding him for me...

Instead of calling you an idiot, I'm going to ask you why you would think this would be a good idea. The spirit of MMA should be one of sportsmanship, not one-upmanship, because that is the spirit of the martial arts themselves. Proving oneself to be more "manly" isn't compatible with the original teachings of martial arts masters. So, if you have some reason for this, I would honestly like to know why.

i think of the UFC regulations are high-quality and trust the no head kicks on a down opponent. i could lots extremely watch my well-known fighters for some years than have human beings retiring perpetually as a results of severe injury.

Why would anyone think that is a good idea? How does that 'spice' things up?
