I would hope that I would be more concerned with their performance as a waiter/waitress, but I can see how people would sort of unconciously tip an attractive person more. I also know that I used to work in a restuarant for 6 years and there was only one waiter and the rest waitresses, the waiter ALWAYS got better tips. ALWAYS... just a interesting side note.

I am a waitress and the answer to your question is a resounding YES...at least with men...men tip women more if they find them attractive...however when they tip more they expect more also...they think they should get something in return..whether it be a phone number...or sometimes I've had men think i would have sex with them just because they handed me a $20 bill...first of all I'm a waitress not a hooker...and if i were a hooker it would be a lot more than $20 lol...
there can be a fat very good waitress that is on the ball, pleasant and works her butt off and a skinny halfway attractive lazy cranky waitress and the skinny one will always make more money...even though she is lousy at her job...

I am more likely to tip a waiter or waitress if they concentrate on thier job with a genuine smile. I don't care if the person is good looking or attractive. I just would prefer a person who is well groomed and presentable.

No because we do not generally tip people here in Australia however I always give a tip to taxi drivers no matter what they look like.

Saying that though at strip joints I tend to tip attractive waiters. And if the choice came to it I would rather an attractive waiter dance on my table then a non attractive one. Damn who wouldnt

If he/she is so attractive to you ask for his/her phone number and save the extra money for the eventual date!
For me good looks don't count for a tip, and neither does the gender, age, hair style, etc.
I only tip more generously if I can see that the waiter o waitress genuinely tries his/her best and can be warm and polite at the same time (no matter slight mistakes like if I'm served caffe latte instead of cappuccino).

Well, I always tip. But, if waiter was cute, I'd probably tip him more than I would tip another waiter who was less attractive even if they both provided equal service and were equally friendly.

I wouldn't realize what I was doing at the time though. It's not like I would consciously say "Hey, this guy is hot, I'll tip him more than I usually tip". It would be more of a subconscious, unintentional thing, most likely.

Knowing that attractive folks fare better in many of life's situations becuase of looks, NO, I'm not fallin' for that. I've waitressed and appreciate the value of tips. I like to tip unless the service was sloppy.

No, because it almost always seems like the attractive ones are clueless.
Maybe because the ones who are considered less attractive think they need to work harder.
Either way...i don't care what they look like...
If they are doing their job well..then they get a better tip.
i even leave a good tip to the ones who screw up if they are working their behinds off.I figure the extra work load is to blame and they need a nice atta boy/girl for having a bad day.
