Im a strong black man and im in love with my girlfriend that is white. I don’t see colors all I see is her beauty and her heart but in a world of stereotypes , jealous and discrimination, how hard can it be to stay together? And what are you TRUE feelings of dating outside your race, would you risk it in the name of love??

My take on Interracial relationship is color doesn't matter. Coming from an African-American woman. You shouldn't worry about what other people thinks. If you're happy with your girlfriend then enjoy the good moments that you have and enjoy the moments that are to come. Now days, there are more important things that you can worry about then people judging your relationship. Of course there are some people that aren't accepting of interracial relationships, but that's their problem, not yours. I would say follow your heart. if your evaluating whether or not to be together because of your color then you would have to ask yourself why are you in the relationship in the first place.

I had a three year relationship with a chinese man; we had a child together. I never saw him as any colour or race in particular; he was just the man I loved.
He, however, found it very hard to keep face; I was older than him; and a "gweipo" too. His friends thought it was very funny that he lived with a woman who was 12 years older than him.
He went back to Hong Kong eventually.
I think you need a lot of love to make an inter racial relationship work; you have to face down the bigots; some of whom may be in your own family!
If you have a child, your child will grow up knowing they are different, and know from a young age that there are people out there who think God is a white man.
I hope it works for you; I have a beautiful 14 year old son, bright and clever and handsome, who encompasses the best traits from both races!

Love isn't restricted to a certain race, color, creed, age or even gender. If you are truly in love with someone, it shouldn't matter what others think. But you are right. Our world is full of stereotypes and discrimination. And that is wrong. If you are truly in love, then you should be able to risk everything for it. Forget what others think and follow your heart.

Yes I would, I think that colour race and religion should not influence wether or not you date people.Although many people also believe this now there are obviously still people who do not share this point of view so you may get some hard times, but as Shakespeare wrote "The course of true love never did run smooth".Good luck to you!

there is no race in true love, jusut peoples, for I have nothing against it at all, for I'm a Black male and I like White ladies, (and any other kind of woman out there), for I see the persoon and thats it, times have changed, and interracial relationship are accepted a lot more in this day and age, and I wouldn't care one bit if someone disapproved about my relationship with someone that I love or care for

I see no problem with it, I'm a black male myself and living in a predominately White state, most off the girls i have dated are white, what pisses me off is when people judge you because off it saying "oh you only like white girls?" or "is your girl white" because they see you with a girl or two. I dont discrimntate i have love for every body

Im not gonna lie sometimes when im with a white women and i see a brother with his white women, I do compare. and you know what honestly there are lotta off beatiful white women now a days dating brothers, an open minded white women. I dont think its hard to stay togther if you worry about yourselves a guy once told me that people are gonna hate on you regardless so why change yourslef to please them? especially if you are happy with someone that you are with who makes you happy.

So yea i would risk it in the name off love, done it before, but as i get older I realized looks become more important to me, whether she is black or white

yamean?

I have dated out of race many times and I have gotten stupid comments from other Asian men about how I'm "selling out" or how I "hate" my own race. That is ridiculous, if I hated my own race why am I still living with my Asian family and why am I still alive?

My ex was a Jewish white man and I definitely would have risked things for him. I was so serious about him that I was even about to convert to Judaism.

My most fulfilling relationships have been interracial ones. You should be free to date anyone you like. It's time it became fully accepted in the 21st century.

I think it doesn't matter...if you love her, go for it! You shouldn't feel uncomfortable dating someone that's not your color. People should really get over this anyway. it is very rude, and people should be able to choose who they get to fall in love with. Don't let anybody bring you down in hard feelings. Let your heart lead you to happiness.

It does put a lot of strain on your relationship if you have family and friends who don't approve of your relationship because of race issues, but if you really love her you can definitely make it work. Good luck!
