Okay, I need to lose around 15 pounds to be at the healthy weight for my height and so forth, I asked my docter. I want to do this healthfully. No strict diet though. Maybe a calorie diet, excercise but you know I have tried that hard strict ones and I have trouble doing those so please make it easy and simple but efficient. No meals just stuff, like the normal cereals, fruit. Mainly I need to work on portions though. I just need some guidance or ground rules. Please help with these I will choose a best answer.

Eat frequently - every 2 to 3 hours. But very small meals each time. Take the number of calories that you burn in a day and divide by 8 to see how many calories each meal should contain.

Green leafy vegetables are very low in calories for the amount of bulk you get. Likewise, celery is effectively negative calories. So make sure you add greens to every meal.

Fruit, grains and dairy are not the best choices since you get a relatively large amount of calories in a relatively small volume. You are better off eating bulkier greens.
