she needs to decide if having a bf is worth betraying her mom's trust. she needs to talk to her mom about it too. her mom probably has a good reason as to why she doesn't want her dating yet .

She can try to talk with her mother about dating and the boy she likes. Maybe it's time to talk about pregnancy and possibly birth control. Perhaps also it's time to talk about priorities (school and grades, etc.). If her mom wont talk with her about it or compromise about it, then your friend should do as her mom says. Mom might be strict but she really only wants what's best for her daughter. Sneaking around and lying causes mistrust and only more problems at home for the friend and the family.
