I think I might have an Idea. Judging from the picture, I would say Shiba Inu. What do you think? Your dog is very cute.

If you know she is part husky, then that answers the markings question from what I can tell. My guess is a big no on the pit bull comment; I see no identifying characteristics of pit bull (any variety of what most people label "pit bull"). Depending on size, I would probably lean towards a small lab X because labs are so prevalent, but it could really be anything. (Actually, when I look at the picture, beagle keeps coming to mind, but I'm not sure why...) Can you give more information as to weight & height, & such? Sometimes, clues can be found in the personality traits of different breeds. With mixes, it's often difficult to pinpoint breed characteristics, but sometimes a certain trait will shine through. Keep in mind, also, that one or both parents could have been mixed-breed dogs as well. Asking someone who works with all-breed rescues is a good way to gain insight, because they come in contact with so many different breeds and breed crosses. Many times being able to touch the dog (coat, build, etc.) will reveal clues that a picture just can't show. Good luck!
I work with all-breed rescue, and it seems that people are so quick to judge any dog with a remotely square head as a pit bull. The body/bone structure I see in Nala does not look anything like a bull dog at all to me, although I could be wrong. She seems to have the markings and color of a Pit Bull, can see it a little in the face structure, and the bend of the ears as well. Not to mention the very short hair.
Body stature is all Husky-like though.

I would say Nala is part husky and shepard/collie mix she looks almost like my friends dog and she is a shepard/collie mix and my dog is a husky/shepard/lab mix so don't feel so bad about the looks of Nala at least she knows that you love her.

Right size for a pitbull, and very pitbullish head structure with a husky face.

I am almost positive that she is part corgi...I work at a shelter and i have a knack for breed id. Hope this helps...She's very cute
