Try this to start with. Gather up ALL your best photos of the past 10 years. Then write the story behind each photo. Then put them all into an iMemoryBook. iMemoryBook will publish your stories into a beautiful full color hardbound memory book.

My sister is getting married in March and she is doing one of these iMemoryBooks with their story of how they met and how they got engaged. He wrote his side of the story and she wrote hers.

There is nothing that will make your story more enjoyable to read than having it in a real hardbound book.

I would write it as a fairytale type story where your characters, you, go through these different adventures...pick out the most memorable moments from each event that may make him smile when he reads it and make sure you have pictures or little drawings that will accompany the story.

You might start it off like ...
Once upon a time in a land not too far away there was a cute boy whom the school girl fell in love with. It wasn't his looks, or his new car but his...

Obviously I don't know when you met or anything but you could have fun writing a story that flows through each little moment!
Good luck and post it on here again if you want some imput from others, even your basic ideas!

Have fun with it, it is a fantastic idea!

Well, I'd suggest that you make an outline of the major happenings over the past 10 years. Then look it over and elaborate on it with fun or special things that happened at or around each noted occasion. Maybe go to friends who where there and ask for their input.
The get on your computer and start typing. Use your normal "speaking voice". Don't try to be fancy or 'literate' just write it down the way you normally talk.
Do all the spell and grammar checking you can. Reread it often to be sure you've got everything in it you want and nothing that you don't want. Maybe have a trusted, honest, but not mean friend read it and ask them to look for any errors you may have missed. Make all the corrections you agree with.
Then print it out.
Have fun.
