I already tried fastweb.com and it's not very useful.

There are many sources for scholarships outside Fastweb. I do recommend filing for FAFSA form soon after January 1 as soon as all the documents are in place to file a tax return. The FAFSA will help you tap into need based financial aid from the state and federal government levels along with the college itself. This is based on family income and resources. I will list other sources.

First, your high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships available to current high school students.

Second, the university's financial aid office and website are full of information. It includes a list of private scholarships listing which includes outside organizations and companies.

Third, go to the public library because it has a book listing scholarships. It includes scholarships not listed on the web.

Fourth, search Google.com and Yahoo.com for scholarships based on college major, race, ethnicity, and religion.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. It is because one scholarship might be listed on one website but not another.

Good luck

Schlav's answer is a good one. Sign up with them and you'll get emails from them all the time letting you know when scholarships have been added to the list. You'll get some advertising when you log-on (make sure you always click "no thanks") but it has quite a bit of information.

Collegeboard.com is also a good place for info.
