Brilliant question - Bloody hell this is good!
Well, I should think no that you should not go to hell.
1. You gave up your life for the sake of another.
2. You have loved another as Christ first loved you.
3. If we are in fact created in the image of god(and thus are a "part" of god if you will) and it is written, "Who so ever shall save his life shall lose it, but who ever gives his own life for My sake shall have everlasting life..."

Ultimately I think this question comes down to ones own understanding of god.

Each and every soul must answer for their actions, and suicide is interfering with the natural order one's life must take. The reason for suicide is irrelevant. A person who committed suicide would have to reincarnate back into the same set of circumstances and give it another shot at dealing with their problems. We cannot escape our karma by ending our life, as we will only return once again.

As far as HELL ..... no.

Theologically speaking, if you intended to commit suicide, you go to hell. What you need to do is sacrifice yourself for the other person, then everything's copacetic.

There's a word for this kind of argument - Jesuitical.

No because God is a forgiving God and despite suicide being the cowardly thing in the bible God would know as hes omniscient that you died to help someone else. Thus meaning you wuldnt go to hell, where is hell and how do you know hell exsists?

I think you are missing the big picture. We are all sinners. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Without the atonement we all perish. It is the reason Jesus taught he was the only way to the father.

Well, I don't believe in Hell, but since you gave your life for someone else, I would say that is good, not bad.

Of course not, silly! Only the all-powerful god (oz) can make those decisions.

It's far better for you to remain alive and suffer and suffer and suffer.

After all, god probably has a reason why he wants your murder victim to die. So you shouldn't mess with god's will.

OUCH! I think I just broke my tongue prying it out of my cheek.

actually i know someone who was in a position very like that
they felt unsafe and that they may harm others ... so wished to take their own life instead
this was one of the saddest people ever ... and so thoughtful and caring ... but scared due to their own depression
would God punish them ? ..... i doubt that very much
