I'm always watching movies constantly about girls that "seem" very nice and trust worthy but actually turn out to go against you for some reason. Like 13 Going On 30. Should I watch my back when I go to NYU and watch my back and know not to tell my secrets or ideas about anything? And should I also watch my back when I become an intern and soon an editor?

Plus, if you have an tips, ideas, suggestions, information, or *Advice* you can give me about going into this kind of business and all I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

I think you may have accidentally pushed the Beauty and Style section by accident instead of Culture/and or Business section, but no problem. Girl, you always have to watch your back because sometimes the ones that you share your secrets, ideas, and blessings to are sometimes the ones thats trying to block it, you feel me. And the hurtful thing about that is if the hata' is a famiy member or friend that supposed to be close to you. Hata's don't like to see you advance, succeed, and see good things come your way and that can be any place/or business that you go to just not at NYC/or as an intern. I mean since you're about to endeavor in something and someplace new in your life, take yourself and your personal life seriously and don't place you and what goes on in your life out so easily. The more you let out the more ones will bring it against you. If you must talk, talk wisely and if you must act, act responsibly. Good luck.....

You should be careful who you trust no matter where you are and what you do. Trust and friendship are earned, they are not given due to the fact you work with someone or go to school with them. That trust is built over time. I would say watch yourself but dont distance yourself from people. DO not spill your whole life to people unless you are positive you trust them and you have known them for a long while..

You should always watch your back. Even some family cannot be trusted with your most important secrets. You can open up too people but just trust your instincts and never reveal too much

You don't necessarily need to "watch your back" for everything. There are unhonest people out there and its your judgement if you feel that they are somebody you cant trust. NYU has honest and great people, just because of what you see on tv doesnt mean it will always happen to you.

um, your question is odd.. All women should watch their back and be skeptical at first. OF everyone else, men and women can be traitors. Live and learn though... some people do deserve your trust. So watch your back but dont be a cold hearted ***** and avoid everyone.

Hey, watch your back but give a little trust to the people you meet, just not full on trust. be careful who you hang out with and make sure you get to know them before they know to much about you.

WATCH YOUR BACK. there are definitely some backstabbers, even family! Make sure you find out who's trustworthy and who's not before you talk.always becarfull about judgment too. Because you can meet someone who u think is trustworthy and someone who's doesn't seem like one and it could be completely the opposite. Its a weird world.

In life, you always have to watch your own back, but don't turn into a paranoid schizzo, cause everyone is not out to get you.
