We just built a new home and my wife picked out a color that goes well with most other colors but is not too boring of a neutral. It's a Sherwin Williams paint colored called Restrained Gold. Everyone seems to really like the color when they come in, which makes my wife happy!

I used historical colors from Benjamin Moore. I love the color called Quincy Tan. I have my living room done with red and white accents, and the contrast is very nice. I used Bennigton Gray in my bedroom and it is a second favorite.

I live in a small loft and I had a medium taupe colour on every wall. I choose the exact colur after finding the drapes of the same colour with no patterns, just plain fabric. Taupe looks good with all kinds of furniture and accent colours. It is warm and more interesting than beige.

I love the earth tone colors. Beiges, tans, browns. My favorite walls that I have painted are in our rec room. It is a Sand Wash paint, the color is Tuscany Tan.

I have always loved cool colors, especially blues. They help me relax and give the room a sense of space. Lighting is also necessary to keep the colors the way you want them, so I would suggest white lights, not the standard yellow bulbs.

My living room has one chocolate brown wall. kind of the focus of the room. The other 3 walls are a light tan (almost beige) I love it! We have red couches from crate and barrel and the look is warm and dramatic to me.

I have walls that are a purple color called Grape Ice. Very funky.

My accent wall in my bedroom is my favorite, it's Mulberry, it looks great with my other walls (light tan) and my furniture.
