There is not enough information here to really answer this. Many states will automatically place blame on the driver of the car hits the other (with certain well specified exceptions). If they are at fault, then you would be due compensation for the real damages (car repairs, rental, hospital bills). You may as well be offered something for pain and suffering, though I am not sure the other insurance company would offer this automatically (and pain and suffering awards are generally not that much overall).

I sure wish we could find this nowhere place, because a lot of people are coming out of it and having accidents!

You are mostly if not completely at fault. You didn't say for certain if you found out later where the other person was coming from. The degree of your negligence could differ based on where she was. Was she on the cross street with a red light and should have waited until the way was clear to proceed, or was she coming the opposite way in a lane you couldn't see and had a yellow light? The liability scenario differs based on that. You don't make the best witness on your own behalf if you never saw her though, unfortunately. I bet she was coming the other way and your right to clear the intersection is not greater than her right of way. Sorry.

These days insurance companies usually blame both parties so they don't have to pay anyone. If you were making a left on a yellow and the woman was going straight (apparently she was trying to beat the yellow light) and you both hit eachother, you would be considered at fault because you didn't yield to her because you were making the left.

If your making the left, and there is no left turn light you are required to yield until it is absolutely safe to make your left turn. It sounds like you may not have seen the woman "come out from no where", but in a left turn situation, you needed to insure that no cars were "charging" the yellow (which is what the woman sounds like she was doing).

Best thing to do is get a lawyer and explain the situation to him.

ahhh "they came out of nowhere!"- classic at fault response.

Heres the deal- it will likely be word vs. word (even though even then it looks worse on you rpart.) You will likely say "I had a yellow light and she must have ran a red light".. she will say " My light just turned green" <-- she is probably right.

If your lucky your own insurance will side with you but you are definately not getting a settlemetn for your injury through the other insurance carrier unless you happened to have a witness on your side (third party that is)

You may have coverage on your own policy for injuries- call your insurance and ask.

I wasn't there, and did not see any of it. What does the police report say? It will indicate who was at fault. Did you get a ticket for failure to yield? If so, you are at fault. Will your insurance cover you medical expenses? Read your policy, or ask your agent, they can tell you. Generally yes if you have medical coverage.
