theres creme or spray that helps your hair straighten. itll protect your hair from heat damage and will also allow it to be straighter.

most products of this type works the same!

I don't use much product on my hair. What I do is wash and dry my hair. Then I pull most of my hair up in a cip, leaving about an inch layer of hair at the bottom of my head. I start off by brushing my hair, then pulling my hair through the straightener. My hair is pretty curly, so it doesn't always do the job. So, once I have straightened that layer to the best of my ability, I follow that with the curling iron. I pull the hair through the curling iron clamp slowly. Then I bring down another layer, and clip the rest up. I continue until I get to the top. The last layer, I pull it straight up, giving it a little volume (not much) and keeping the hair from creasing.

Hope this helps!

You can always try a regular iron. Before I got my Chi, I had a cheap straightener and it would take me hours to get my hair straight. My hair is super thick and wavy so I laid my head on the ironing board and took the iron to it VERY carefully. And then touched it up with the straightner. Once you can afford a better straightener, I would definitely recommend a Chi. It is the best.

I personally think the CHI by Farouk Systems is the best flat iron. The smaller, the better. It is a ceramic ion one. I use Biosilk Silk Therapy, rub some on the ends when wet. I would suggest blow-drying your hair into sections. What I have recently started doing (learned by my stylist) is that I spray some of the Biosilk Finishing Spray and then flat iron that section and just keeping dropping down sections as I go. To finish I turn by blow dryer on the Cool setting and blow the cool air, makes your hair shine. Good Luck!

you have an ok straightener? Invest in a good straightener- Problem solved..... Maybe you are trying to do too much hair at a time.. follow the directions that came with the iron and maybe turn the heat up a notch. Is it that your hair is too curly after you straighten or too frizzy? try products called frizz ease from john frieda to control the poof factor.

I may be just a brilliant scientist in Norway and know NOTHING of hair, But even the dumbest people-not calling you dumb- know that the CHI works QUITE exeptionally..

use an iron until you can buy a good straightener. it will kill your hair, but it will be straight. dont do it for too long though. and be careful, it hurts A LOT if you burn yourself.
