try cooking with olive oil when possible, for pan-frying and things. in baked goods, you can substitute a variety of ingredients for part of the butter...most often applesause is substituted, but i've seen yogurt or even tofu. this may yield a slightly different flavor or texture, but I've used applesauce in brownies before and it worked. look for butter substitute recipes online. good luck and way to make a healthy effort this new year!

PAM cooking spray. Cooking spray tastes like butter, but it has no fat or calories. What could be better than that?
