In NY state a filling costs about $90. However removing wisdom teeth are a pricey and painful endeavor. Are your wisdom teeth above the skin? Is only pain from them pushing on the other teeth? I only have 2 wisdom teeth on the bottom and I let them grow in. The dentist said it was OK unless they didn't break the skin which means they could have impacted or if there is any sign of infection. The pain that I felt, which is similar to yours, was pressure and discomfort..which went away in a few months as the teeth settled themselves.
However, if you have dental insurance go see the dentist. They really aren't that bad and they have this nifty numbing cream to numb you before the needles. Teeth can get infected very quickly and very badly so you want to make sure you see the dentist. I promise it's not so bad.

I just had an "appraisal" of how much it would cost for a lot of dental work, which I need to have done. I too hate dentists, sorry dentists, but I found a new treatment which is being used in my area. It is called "sedation" therapy. A person is given one pill, which puts them in "twilight", which relaxes that person. The person is unaware of what is being done. The dentist whom I visited, scheduled all my dental work for ONE setting. I needed 4 fillings, 2 crowns, a bridge, evening up my front teeth, (can't remember what that was called) and the total whitening treatment, the COST: $11,000.00. The dentist did not blink an eye when he told me the cost. The two good benefits, (1) sedation, not gas which makes most ill (sedation therapy does not) (2) getting all of this dental work done in one day. However, I have TWO dental policies and still, my out-of-pocket was thousands. I could not afford this, but would recommend it to someone who could, sedation dentistry is the way to go. Some dentists are not trained in this area though. Good Luck!

Depends on where you go to get them out.
Many counties have a health department that offers low cost dental care. Also Dental schools will do it for a lot less than a regular dentist's office. Call around and ask...

I had to pay $1000 for 4 wisdom teeth to be taken out from a oral surgeon. I guess it's $250 per tooth. Depending on how they're impacted it may cost more if they have to cut.

Where do you live? Go as far as you need to to find an NH dentist. Charges have risen steeply in last year so that dentists will again do NH work. Whether you like the dentist or not you need to get it sorted. Cost will not be a problem if you have TOOTHACHE. Modern techniques and analgesics mean that they NEVER need to hurt you. If anyone does shout, and loudly, until they do the job properly! Believe me! dentists tortured me for fifty years but not any more.

I went to a dental "chain" called Dental Depot in Oklahoma. It cost $150.00 per tooth for removal. If there is a local dental college in your area you can have the work done for considerably less. I went to one near where I live and it was only $65.00 to have another wisdom tooth pulled. However, you have to set up appointments at dental schools weeks in advance and be on standby for when they can fit you in.

No need to be scared these days, if the wisdom teeth are too difficult for a dentist to remove they will refer you to the hospital to have it done with a general anaesthetic, could be expensive if you dont have an NHS dentist. Good Luck!

not sure where you are in the world, but if you are in the uk, the dentist is required to give you a full iteMissed bill listing everything individually so there are no mis-understandings when it comes to paying for the bill. maybe you can pay for the treatment in instalments?
