My Chinese Crested when we first brought him home was afraid of the dark. I had to change potty times to accommodate him LOL I would take him out to the bathroom and if I took him out of the reach of the light on the back Poarch he would RACE back to the light. He would not go into dark rooms and so on. I used it to my advantage and he NEVER had an overnight accident. I would put him in bed with me and knew he would not leave. LOL He got over the fear but still does not have accidents at night!

I think there will be no problem, as long as the dog is in familiar surroundings, and is comfortable within the family. Dogs can see better at night than we can.

I really don't think they care that much about it, they'll sleep when ever they feel like it really hehe. That is a good question though :).
