My brother and his girlfriend just delivered a beautiful baby girl. The baby was healthy, thank God. But there was drugs found in the babys system. Since the family was contacted by Child Protective Services we have not heard from the Mom of the baby or my brother. Did they run or is it procedure to arrest them. I am in another state and I am not getting info from my family. I am furious and I think that she should be arrested and charged with child endangerment.

I would call child protective services and ask them what the normal procedure is in that state. Wish I could help with more info.

They have probably been arrested and will serve multi-year jail times. In the meantime, the kid will be put in forster care for the rest of her life.
You need to contact a GOOD lawyer ASAP and get them out of jail right away. They need HELP. And having family helps. You can get custody of the child for the time being while they undergo all the legal problems, so at least they wont have to worry that their kid is going to dissapear off the face of the earth.

I dont think they would be arrested, but definately the child will go into protective services. Its messed up anyways. It depends on what state it is they could very well be arrested.
