She also kept leaning over and touched her boot alot. BTW, I asked her if she had alot of shoes and she said no.
Did I miss out on anything? It was the first date, I asked her out again and she said that she'd love to, so i'll make a move whenever I feel it's right.

I think that maybe she felt that not wearing socks was somehow erotic or naughty and she was telling you this. I have no idea why she would think this would be the case but I am guessing your both quite young (an older couple may have liked this if it was no panties - but let's no go there). She might have a foot fetish or just be kind of weird.
I don't think you missed any signals, maybe she was giving you a signal but it is lost in translation as women's signals often are. Good luck on the second date. Yes make a move if it feels right for you both. Wear a rubber.

Maybe her feet stink and she told you that to try to ease her own mind,or maybe she is telling you she is ready with less clothing as well as socks, you will figure it out on the next date

Oh I completely understand where this girl is coming from. She's nervous, and plus many girls think that saying things like that is funny. We tend to think that guys are into sick and disgusting things and we feel we have to work for their love.
