ive just built a new home and help with the beeacker panel

Check your local code. At a minimum, you will need 100 amp. 200 amp service is common in Wisconsin and will handle central heating and cooling, plus most of whatever you need. Good luck.

I'd need to know the square footage as well as what types of appliances do you plan on using. Will you have a gas furnace, dryer and range or is your house mostly electric? Have you thought of central air-conditioning or will you only have window units?

Most houses I wire now I install a 125+ amp panel. This is average for homes in Los Angeles though in some applications I've utilized 3-phase in residential.
