He puts Adam and Eve in the garden with a “tree of knowledge” that they are under no condition allowed to eat from. He puts a serpent in there for the sole purpose of tempting them to eat from the tree (just in case they don’t do it on their own). He is all knowing, so he knew they were going to do it from the beginning.
When they eat from the tree (which he knew they would) he punishes them all harshly. He takes the serpents legs away! Lucky you weren’t the serpent, huh? He casts the people out of the garden. He punishes, not just Adam and Eve, but all their decedents for this “crime” for millennia’s.
It seems to me that if you believe in the bible then you have to face it; you’re god’s punching bag.
I’m sure you’ll blame it on the devil (illogically). Oh well, what do you think?

Lol, faulty logic.
He did not put the serpent there. The serpent put itself there for Satan to use. God doesn't NEED a punching bag, how stupid is that?
He tested Adam & Eve, something HE had a right too, but he did not OVER test them. He did not force them to eat. The reason "we" the descendants are affected are this, say you have a Bread Pan and it has a dent in it. Will you ever make bread in it that doesn't have a dent in the bread? No. And, when imperfection hit humanity we no longer had access to perfection, either.
God owes us nothing, but he's promised us soo much! He even mentions Christ Jesus at Genesis 3:15 for the first time, speaking of "the son of man" bruising the serpent in the Head. So, yes, he had a plan to save us, just in case we failed "him." Because he did not fail us.

first of all God created Adam and Eve to have a perfect relationship with Him. The 2 humans had everything that they could possibly want in the garden. The one tree God told them not to eat from was the one they did. The serpent is satan trying to get them to disobey God and like Satan when he fell from heaven, if Adam and Eve would eat of that tree they would be as knowledgeable as God. The temptor is Satan- it was there sin that made them eat the apple. We would have done the same thing. Humans want what humans want. God gave them and us a choice. Yes, God knew that is what they would do, and He also knows what sins we will commit as well, but HE LOVED US so much that He sent His son to die for us. No I am not God's punching bag- Jesus shed His blood so that I can have that perfect relationship that God chooses to have with us.

You Hellenistic Infidel Blasphemer how dare you speak of God as if he was a dolt. Don't you know that God has the ability to know and not to know at the same time. He has abilities far beyond the knowledge of the human mind. Sort of like Superman he can make a mountain so large it is imposable to move and then just with a thought or the twinkle of an eye he can move it while it is still too big to move. Never doubt the wisdom or power of God. Only he can do what he cant do. xx

God did not create humans to punish them. His purpose was for all people to live forever here on a beautiful paradise earth and to populate it and care for it. Life would have been wonderful. There would have been no wars, crime, sickness or death. Living forever in perfection was Gods original plan for all of his creation. God gave Adam and Eve the gift of freewill and they misused it They chose to listen to one of God's spirit sons, who also misused his gift of freewill. This disobedient angel talked our first parents into believing that they did not need God, that they could make their own rules and govern themselves and what has been the result of man ruling over man? Total chaos, and the Bible says that man has dominated man to his injury.(Ecclesiastes 8:9) We need God to rule over us .Humans do not have the ability to bring peace to the earth. We cannot end wars or terrorism and we cannot stop death. Only God can do these things and he will. God's purposes never go unfulfilled. See Psalms 37:9-11, Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 2:4

God created man to have a relationship with him. God created satan, but he didn't create evil. Satan freely chose to turn against God. Satan tempted Eve with the fruit, who gave it to Adam. Supposing that Adam and Eve hadn't sinned, sin would have entered the world from someone else.
You leave out the most important part, though. God sent his son to pay for the sin of everyone everywhere, from all time. all we have to do is accept his gift, and trust in him alone for salvation and we can join him in heaven.
Of course, you don't care, you are just trying to find faults with Christianity and laugh about it with your atheist friends.
God Bless you

The Gnostics believe that the God of this world (Yahweh/Yaldaboath) is indeed an evil, manhating entity. He is not the same as the Supreme Being, who does allow free will by not interfering in mortal affairs.

Our God is a loving God - and He created Adam and Eve knowing full well what they would chose because His nature is all-knowing. From the beginning of time He knew that He would send his son, Jesus Christ, as the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. He is not a God of punishment, but a God of love, mercy and forgiveness. He is waiting for us to choose Him in return. I blame nothing on Satan - it is my choice to love and walk with God through His son Jesus.

Do you think God put the serpent there? errr nooo! He knew it was going to happen and because God has given man freewill he let them decide. So because they chose the wrong decision he punished them. And if Christians are Gods' punchbag why would he help us and reward us in life?

What you are speaking about are the natural "consequences" of sin and not "punishments" by God.
Think of it this way: if you smoke and get lung cancer, the disease is a natural consequence of the action that you have chosen with your freewill. You can neither blame God nor the one who sold you cigarettes although both knew that smoking causes illness, lol!!
