i have a puppy. how do i get it to stop biting my clothes that im wearing

I have a chihuahua puppy that is doing the same thing . Whenever he starts i make a loud noise and he stops then i stick a toy in his mouth and he plays with the toy. good luck and god bless.

Nipping at you or other humans is an unacceptable way to ask someone to play. My own dog thought that nipping at me was a good way to get my attention. I taught him that it was not a good way to get my attention by putting him in time out EVERY SINGLE TIME! It kind of sucked for a couple weeks, because sometimes I wanted to play too, but I knew it was much more important that he learn not to bite. I encouraged him to bring me a toy if he wanted to play, and he still does that.
