Well... there's Unitarianism of course, they're very liberally minded and very accepting. There's the Metropolitan Community Church (which has a specific outreach to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities).
Here's a website for Christian Lesbians - http://www.christianlesbians.com/

Long time ago when I was 12 I was forced by a priest to join a group of teenagers on Sundays because he thought I was at the age to socialize. I will not tell what kind of socializing was there. I was embarrassed and felt being used. Since then I hated priests and I don''t follow any religion. I, like you , believe in a creator and that is enough for me. I don't need no one to mess up what I have and do. I believe in myself and do what I think is right without hurting no one. God is available in many forms and ways. I use it with my own judgment.

well i would have to say any belief that does not follow the Bible. but all churches will take you in. they may not agree with you being gay but they should not cast out judgement either. however my belief we believe that you have to be more then just a good person. and that is to do what Jesus said for us to do and not be ashamed of him and tell everyone about him. we dont question God however we may have a question and ask
God to reveal an answere to us. like if we dont understand a scripture or what not. just read the Bible if you believe in it and pray and ask God to show you the truth and what he wants you to do. and just cause you are a good person does not mean you are saved. as far as the Bible says. there are many who think they are good people but dont believe in God at all. faith without works is dead. the works part is going to church, reading your Bible daily, praying daily, letting everyone know what you believe and about Jesus and not being ashamed. giving tithes and offerins, and obey the commandments and what Jesus told us.

Well the bible strictly forbids gay-ness (if thats a word? gayness?)
of course if your good than you wont go to hell.
The bible also states that It doesnt matter what good deeds you do, the do not count unless your a believer of god.
but its good your compassionate. The bible is quite confusing but it states what you need to know.
That doesnt mean that gays dont believe in god, i just dont think they understand that its a sin to be.
See, Athiests are the "free thinkers" or maybe even slightly "Anti-God!"
and Satanists are the hardcore anti-god and devil worshipers.
So you would probably fall under part Athiest if you want to look at it from a christian point of view.
(sorry if this wasnt much help, didnt mean to be offending either, good luck)

I have to agree with many others--a Unitarian Universalist church would probably be a great place for you. They don't really have set "religious" beliefs, but instead embrace many faiths and practices and emphasize social work as the best we can do on earth. Though all are open to gays and lesbians, many--such as mine--work to make sure it's well-known that they are open to anyone.

You sound variety of generic 'new age.' you is often in Theosophy, or Buddhism in case you studied those issues. Theosophy, and appropriate movements (that is stimulated rather some issues) sound rather close, as they attempt to make experience of all divine issues devoid of privileging one element over yet another. you additionally can discover your way into eclectic neo-paganism / or eclectic Wicca of a few variety, yet i think of for now, your ideals are variety of recent-agey.

Although this is a question you must answer for yourself, I encourage you to attend some services (or speak with clergy) at different Episcopal Churches. I think you will find that this faith is accepting, loving and grounded in reason.

Sounds like you have a mature philosophy and you say you are a free thinker. What need is there to pin a label on yourself?

Jessica...this is something you must decide for yourself. I see you have asked several questions and that is good. Based on what you have written I would say you would fit in a more liberal religion best and not one of the strongly conservative or fundamental ones.
There is actually a test on the Belief.net site that helps you to know what religion is the best "fit" for you, lol. Its quite interesting to take the little test.

How can you question someone who is indefinitely wiser than you? Shouldn't you be concerned with finding the true religion instead of finding one that tailors to your likes? The Bible says that men who lie with men (homosexuality) will not inherit God's kingdom. So if your looking for a religion that "fits" your lifestyle it wouldn't be one that follows the bible.
