Okay...So the girl in the story, she get's bad grades. So when she comes home for christmas break, Her father like beats the crap out of her. Then he locks her in her room. This guy that she likes comes to her house and figures out what happened and he calls the police. How much time can her dad serve in jail for what he did?

Depends on how old this girl is, If she in college, over 18. I doubt much will happen.The girl herself would have to press charges against her father. witnesses are what makes the case, photo's, signed sworn affidavits from witnesses. I highly doubt any jail time will be served. The courts do not work on a system of justice, they operate on revenue. So since the father is rich, he will walk, but it will cost hiom plenty! Mosst of all, it will make the bastard think twice before pulling that crap again!

The daughter can claim more abuse than what was done, or the guy comes to her rescue and then the dad fights the guy and they both fall down the stairs and the dad breaks his neck, all the estate and funds are left in the daughters name and the daughter and the guy live hapily ever after??

You'll have to figure out which state Daddy lives in, then research the laws of that particular state. They're all different.
Cut that time by 75% if the judge is a golfing buddy and multiply by 10 if the judge is his ex-wife.
