When I try to print an 8x10 picture from the Sony A 100 with my printer ,the print comes out too small , as a 6.5 x 9. This does not fill an 8x 10 frame . I do not have this problem with my other two cameras , using the same printer, computer, and software . If anybody has a solution to this problem I would aapreciate it . This is obviously not a printer or software problem because I do not have this problem with pictures from my other two cameras

My problem was that I was having a problem printing an 8x 10 picture using pictures from my digital SLR .They were printing as a 6.5 x 10. Since I do not have this problem using my other two cameras with the same printer and software, I came to the logical coclusion that THIS WAS NOT A SOFTWARE PROBLEM . And I was correct BOB. The problem I found out from a photography site is that an Digital SLR camera has an image sensor that has proportions for 8x12 pictures . So when you print for 8x10 in order for the hight to stay in proportion to the with(10inch) it gets pushed down to 6 inches . I either have to print 8x12 or crop it to 8x10 proportions. This is a charicteristic of SLR sensors . I am posting this in case anybody else has the same problem.
