Not neccessarily, but explain the situation to her just like you did here, and you will be fine. Make sure you don't have her thinking one thing if its another

Just because you have dinner and watch a movie with a girl doesn't mean you're going to be bf and gf. If you did ask her on a date she would probably think that you like her. If you actually just want to be friends with her, make sure you tell her your intentions so you don't scare her off.

No it really doesn't. If you ask her out, you arn't technically "going out". If you go with her to the movies or dinner and the date goes good ( meaning if she said she had a really good time and would like to do it again) then your in. Start going out with her more often, then after a while (like if you hook up) then ur bf-gf. Good luck

It's okay to hang out, but not okay to go on dates. She has a commitment already. Have coffee, go see a movie, or eat. Don't go on dates.

And no, going on a date does not mean automatic bf/gf. It means you dated (or are dating) them.

Yeah it's OK! Just be honest with her at first. Tell her you just wanna grab a movie as friends or something like that. If she cares for her b/f at all she wont say yes unless it's said that it's just to friends hanging out.

If you're asking her out as one lonely friend to another, she may very well appreciate the sentiment. ON the other hand, if your not sure what things may be derived from your asking her out, sit down and talk to her about it first. Be honest and open about what you don't expect. Just be her friend and enjoy the camaraderie!

No, not necessarily. Well, do you like her more than a friend, and does she have those same feelings for you? It's just a date, so it doesn't mean anything else unless you make it mean more.

No. You can be friends. You are only bf/gf if you talk about being bf/gf.

NO. It means you are going on a date. People DATE before becoming exclusive!

No, its only a date, you will not become bf/gf untill you officially ask her to become your girlfriend...
