Sadly, yes. Even here in the U.S. People, especially children are tricked into coming to this country in the hopes of a better life, then sold to wealthy unscrupulous people who enslave them. Being thousands of miles from friends or family, and not even speaking the language, they have no recourse.

YES there is, I studied in Uni for 5 years "civil engineering", I know 3 languages, I took 5 courses in different computer programs and because I'm Arab and religious I have to work in a job that anyone in high school can do and I get less than 1/4 the money if I worked in my specialty + I can't complain because I can loose my job and if I do I'll never find another.
In my eyes this is slavery.

YES, there are slavery everytime, everywhere. This is the reality of human race,life and of this world. As long as someone thinks he's more superior than others in any terms, power, money, charm, everything, there will always be slavery, this is the present day slavery and there are many different forms (This is a great aticle for this topic: http://www.well.com/~sisu/slavery.html) If you are talking about "history-type mass slavery", I'm not aware of any....

Yes, slavery does remain in our world, though often it is in different manifestations that outrightly being called "slavery". It is often common in the poorer nations (third world countries).

Unfortunately yes, its all over the world. There are women and children being sold as sexual slaves. People in America even who buy people to work as maids or landscapers. Its horrible and it needs to end.

Yes lots. Kids in Asia being forced to work in sweat shops. Eastern European girls being brought to Britain and sold into the sex industry....need I go on?

yes..actually here in the USA. there are SEX slaves from Asia. Oprah and 20/20 did a show about that.
