For those of you who are religious and believe in heaven or an afterlife, what do you think it will be like? I am not suicidal or near death, I've just pondered this for a long time. I wonder if heaven will have the same things we enjoy on Earth-for example TV, videogames, food, sex, sports, pets, travel, etc. I wonder if we can still have love relationships in heaven or form new love or friend relationship in heaven. Will we be able to talk to each other in heaven? After we die, do we wake up in heaven immediately or do we travel up towards heaven or go through purgatory first? Or will heaven be completely different than anything on Earth?

no one knows what it will be like when we die, but what i believe in is heaven and hell. The best place to find the answer to this is in the bible. i believe heaven is a place full of love and peace and if all the things on earth that we enjoy are not in heaven then we will be so content that we will not miss them. Heaven will not be anything like it is on earth. It will be better beyond your imagination! But there are steps you have to take cause just being a good person won't get you there. If you are really interested a study bible, online studies or a preacher can tell you more.

Excellent question, and you put it very well. The more you question what heaven is like, the more questions arise. Example one subject: Sex. Would it exist? If so would children still be procreated and born into heaven? Or would sex just for for enjoyment? Would there be gays? It is all such a fantasy that it cannot be compared to reality. For instance, "Live for an eternity". It's impossible to grasp the meaning of such a concept.

I think the most important thing to remember is that your afterlife experience may very well be affected by the life you lead here and therefore live virtuously and act in a altruistic manner in order to leave the planet a better place.
As for the afterlife? - I'm too busy trying to figure the current life down here out right now to worry about what happens when I'm not here....
Interesting subject for postulation tho

Read Rev 20-22. Regarding relationships and sex: Matthew 22:23-30. Yes. Believers in Christ as Lord and savior go to be with Christ, unbelievers do not. Yes.

I think that the afterlife, in many ways, will be like our life here. We will have relationships and so forth, if we allow it to happen. Our families can be joined in a way that they can be together forever.

When we die, our spirits are separated from our bodies. The spirits are in a state called the "spirit world". Then we are resurrected, which means that our spirits and bodies are joined in an immortal condition. We will then be assigned to a state that we deserve, based on our choices.

I don't believe in an afterlife. But if it turned out you could end up wherever you wanted, I think I would pick a nice, sunny, green, warm place with no religious people around.
