and they said it is nothing to worry about and that as you get older your nose and ears just get bigger. My nose is sometimes swollen and it stings. Has anyone ever had a problem like this before?

methinks you should go get a second opinion. it could be a wart or cancerous but im not sure if thats the case, if it continues, ask your doctor for an x ray or biopsy good luck

That is complete and utter bullshit that your ears and nose get bigger. If that were true people would be walking around looking like Pinocchio and Dumbo for God's sake. Your doctor is a quack. Go see a dermatologist for a second opinion.
Plus a lump on your nose has nothing to do with the size of your nose.
