a simple ribbon would help.
you can buy ribbons of all colors to match everything. wear them as headbands or tie a bow on your ponytail.
a ribbon would add color and they are soo easy to match with stuff.

The one thing I have found is hot curlers. I turn them on before I wash my hair, and by the time I am washed and blow dried, they are heated up. Then it takes about 5 minutes to put the curlers in. I leave them while I eat breakfast, brush my teeth, do make-up...then right before I leave I take them out, fluff them a little, and I'm out the door. If your hair is fine like mine that damages easily, you could use a spray in conditioner instead of hairspray to keep the curls. Or I used pretty hair clips, and let a few wisps of hair fall out, it looks so cute. Also, I have started wearing dangly earrings, they take attention away from my hair, and look cute too.

I think you should wear it in a sloppy bun. Or you could always do some classic twist like a French twist. To do a French twist, put your hair into a loose ponytail. Them make a hole in it at the top above the ponytail holder. Then you put the ponytail through the hole. Or you could just wear it in a half ponytail. Hope this helps.

pull it up in a half pony tail loosely and then pull the pony tail through a section above the hair tie you split in half, so it is twisted. or put it in a braid of double braids for a more "cute" look.

Go darker or lighter - depending on your skintone. That always makes a big difference. OR - get highlights or lowlights.

You should try getting layers. You can still leave it down, but it wouldn't be sooooo boring.

i get very bored with my hair very easily. wat i do is color it and then go to the salon and look through magazines. ask the beautician if such and such haristyle would look okay. then go for it... you'll be okay - ask for something low maintenance (ask her to be honest too)
