I just failed my driving test yesterday and now i feel down and what not. Apparently, the drive was smooth, but the examiner marked me down at lot for not scanning the road ahead of me. If I did, I would of passed as I was marked down 9 points for traffic check. I got 3 errors more of what would have been passing. My next test is in 2 weeks. Any pointers? Thanks.

You've been told what you did wrong, so pay attention to this fact (but not so much so that you stop paying attention to everything else).

Secondly, just more time behind the wheel. Much of driving is experience to get certain things to become automatic behavior. As you drive more, things that are now need your attention will become automatic, and this will allow you to be more aware of your surroundings, and also to focus attention further down the road.

Well, scan the road ahead of you for starters. Just take what they told you that you did wrong and improve on it.
I failed the first time I took mine, as well. I hit the stupid pylon when I was trying to parallel park - it sucked. But I practiced like a maniac and did well the second time around. The most important thing is to stay calm, and not psych yourself out too much.
And when you're scanning the road, and checking your mirrors be super obvious about it. That worked for me.
