I spoke to nurse she told me she probably has a dry nose, or she picked her nose. She also advised me to put vaseline inside nostril.

Need to probably run a humidifier in your home to increase the humidity. My daughter had the same problem, went on for a couple of years, she learned to get up and take care of it herself.

Nose bleeds are not necessarily becuase people pick their nose, mine bleeds on occasion when it is dry as welll.

I'm a nurse. She is fine. Picking her nose is making her nose bleed. My daughter use to do the same thing, she'll be fine. I would recommend the next time she has one, to put an ice pack (or frozen peas) on the back of her neck, place your thumb and index finger on her nose(at the end of the bone on her nose) and apply pressure until the bleeding stops. I hope you understood the directions. Take care of your beautiful granddaughter.

Try using Normal saline nose drops or spray. This will help the dryness that often happens this time of year. But if it continues you should seek medical attention. Because her blood count could drop and this could cause anemia

Yes I agree it has to do with the air being dry. Put a humidifier in the room where she sleeps that should help.
