I was watching a show once where one man said that he slimmed his waist by a few inches just by wearing some sort of a very tight band/fabric over his waist for a few months, and after he took it off his waist was visibly slimmer. Has anyone heard of this or tried this? How does this work? Serious responses only. Thank you.

That is a very bad idea... you should avoid anything that is too tight.. it can do a lot of damage considering a lot of your major organs are in that area! Besides, that wouldn't work...

It will work only for a short period of time when u take off the binder. U can try it by wearing a belt tight and go to bed, it will feel looser the next day when u wake up. But the effect is only temporary. I guess the only reason why it can be permanent is because when u wear the tight band, it makes eating so uncomfortable that u tend to eat less, hence the weight loss.

i'ver heard of that but not a tight band, just a ribbon/string that fits just around your waist but its not tight. I think its all mental so that when you eat and doing your everyday activities, you're more aware... at least thats what i remember.

Man, there is a sucker born every min. The only way to loose weight is diet and exercise, or Liposuction.

I can guarantee you it would never work. There are only two ways to do it. Either you must consume fewer calories than you burn, or you must work out hard enough to add muscle without gaining weight.

Probably not. It will probably make your stomach hurt and it will be hard to breath because your diaphram is compressed.

i doubt it. I wear tight jeans everyday and they dont make my legs any thinner.
