Do you think that it will be the hispanics that are screaming that they want their land back (and they have already talked of a war for this).

Or will it be the American people?

Both groups...and this is a fact...have said that they will start a war over this.

i have been saying that I will go to war if they get amnesty. Did you see my question the other day about pulling a Boston tea party on their asses.

It's time for war now, Amnesty will only leave the door open for more illegals to come. They were never invited in the first place.

No, there is not any way. And back NO! because amnesty devalues the well worth of yank Citizenship. Democrats do sufficient of that. With their increasingly extra open efforts to modify the note citizen into the note problem. Deport them and reformatory their employers. once the attempt starts, self deportation will also initiate. As jobs dry up and certain everlasting deportations initiate. worked nicely until eventually Ed Kennedy's Immigration reform invoice exceeded declaring we are able to not deport 12 thousands of thousands basically surrenders our borders and way of existence to foreigners. Who care not some thing for the u . s . a ..

I'm so tired of this "us vs. them" crap. There is no such thing as Americans vs. Hispanics. There are hispanics who have lived in my region longer than "white" people. I think people need to be careful when they assume every hispanic person is an immigrant. People need to stop acting like immigrants, illegal or not, are monsters. Don't start acting like Nazis and believing whatever crap the media has fed you.

I live in a border state. I definitely don't like the lack of enforcement on the border and how fast our cities are growing. I don't like being denied assistance (I just had a baby) because I'm too white and too middle class compared to illegal immigrants. I don't like that I was denied financial aid for college because I'm not a minority like illegal immigrants are.

However, I have nothing against people coming here for opportunity as a rule. I blame the government for poor planning and enforcement. It's not racist to be against unrestricted immigration. There has to be some kind of control so that our population doesn't explode too quickly (as it has been doing).

I'd much rather have nothing but mexican immigrants than immigrants from California haha. Let's just send the californians back home and we'll have more room for mexicans :)

Anyway, it is a problem.
No, that's not a racist statement.
Just because this is america doesn't mean that there should be no system to regulate how things happen.
This isn't anarchy...or it shouldn't be anyway.

You say that both groups - "and this is a fact" - have said that they will start a war over this. Do you have a cite or source for this? Who has been elected the spokesperson for the entirety of the American people? Who is speaking on behalf of all the illegal immigrants? Obviously, as evidenced by the different answers, there is not just one opinion held by all American people, so I don't think it's accurate for you to say that "the American people" have said they will start a war over this. Can you please tell us what you're basing this on?

To answer your question I think wars are born from fear. Fear leads to anger and violence and hatred. Some people are afraid of illegal immigrants, and they turn that into anger, claiming they have no right to be here (I've heard that said by people whose own parents came here illegally!) and that we have to use force to get rid of them. This threatens the immigrants, legal and illegal, who become afraid when threatened, and prepare to use force themselves.

So basically, if a civil war comes out of this conflict, it will likely be both citizens and non-citizens, a series of small violent conflicts that escalate into larger, more organized fights, until it can be called a civil war. It won't be one side just "officially" declaring a civil war with one distinct act.

I am sick and tired of it being assumed that I am a racist because I am strongly opposed to ILLEGAL immigration.
Can't you bozos use another, appropriate "fighting word?"
We bought this land, pure and simple. Want to buy it back? My kitchen floor needs a good scrubbing. That might get you 2" x 2".
OOPS - I forgot - you can't get in to do it - and I would NEVER advocate breaking the law like you folks think is so okay. What you race baiters are doing is akin to breaking into my home - and I assure you, you would be either shot or have your throat torn out by my dog.

People say all sorts of things they do not follow up on. There was no civil war when amnesty was granted in 1986 and it would not happen today either. MOST of us realize the land does not "belong" to anyone. Everyone alive today will die, the land will still be there.
