Alien Workshop or Element

best boards are almost and zero, the are compatable with almost any type of skating. Now when I first started out I never had a name brand board you don't really need it when first starting out but when you want to do some tricks those boards work great. The board doesn't make the skater but it sure helps, you go cheap you get cheap but you don't need a $200 board. Personaly I don't like element just never worked for me but i'm tall I get good high ollies with my zero with an element I never could. You don't need to be buying certain trucks and wheels you dont have a style yet so don't worry about it. have fun skating and don't be scared to fall down or break bones, it happens. ;-P

If I was buying a skateboard I would allow my purchase to be dictated by the color of the board, the shape of the wheels and the stickers I would use to decorate it, rather then the brand itself.

Be cool - go your own way !

If you are serious about riding, get a zero because it will last you a while. I have a zero and it still rides great even after all the abuse i put it through. If your looking for a cheap deck to just mess around with just get a mini logo board, they're cheap and they're a great beginner board.

Not to be sexist, but most girls dont become hard core skaters. So, if you're just intending to cruise or maybe skate with friends get a blank deck and save your money. If you are dead serious about it then buy brand name.

I definately prefer a "BAKER" deck, "Krux" trucks, anytype of wheels, and "Bones" bearings. This combination orks very well for me, and probably for you also.
