Did you find it a bit confronting at first, every time you looked in the mirror?

my first tattoos were all on my back so a lot of the time i would forget about them but all of my newest tattoos i love so much that i can't stop looking at them. especially when i first got my back done. i would look at it 20 times a day in the mirror!! so it really didn't take time for me to get used to it. but if i had something on the front of my body like arms or chest it would probably be weird for a while. it is still weird to me that my husband has tattoos. he doesn't seem like the 'type'. anyway... rambling.

I have one plastered right on my arm and It didn't take me long to get use to it. The other day some one pointed to my arm and asked what it was of and I had no idea what they were talking about at first. When I first got it I was showing it off to everyone but now I dont even realize it is there. Just be wise and get a tattoo that has meaning behind it and NO NAMES!

It didn't take me that long....I love the tatts I have and the artist I used did an awesome job! I got my first one about 2 years ago and still love looking at it! It's almost like a skin addiction once you get one you want many more! Just be sure you're happy with the design because it's with you for life!

It didn't take me long. Maybe a month or so, and my tattoo is pretty noticeable. It covers my entire shoulder and a quarter of my bicep. I got it about a year ago, and I want another one! That's the thing with tattoos; if you get one, you'll want to get another one.

I did because I actually put my boyfriend at the time name on my arm. So stupid! And yeah, it's still there. Now I don't even want to get anymore tattoo's.

Not long, I like them.

But I have shocked myself a few times after a radical change in hair color. You know that early morning teeth brushing thing. It is a little startling when you see that new hair color, ah.... who's that in the mirror? Oh, it's me...

about as long as it took to put the stencil on. ha! my tattoos weren't spur of the moment things so i was definitely ready each time.

About a month! I've had it for 8 years, so now I often forget it's there (it's on the back of my hip).
