My cat just had kittens on 12/23/06. They are adorable and i must find a home for all four of them. Of course i plan on waiting until their between the 8 & 12 weeks of age recommeded before i adopt them out, but i just want to the best i can to get them a decent home. There are 2 boys & 2 girls. 2 tabby, 1 calico, & 1 dark blk. w white feet. the parents both live in home.

Hi there....consider also posting an ad through a free online services such as Petfinder http://www.petfinder.com or your local Craigslist http://www.craigslist.org and look for your state, then nearest city and then under the Community and then subsection Pets. Be sure to include a small adoption fee to disuade people who are looking for a free pets to sell to research labs, use for dog bait training, snake food or worse mistreatment. Ask prospective adopters that you would like to conduct a home inspection monthly for 3 months to ensure the well-being of the kittens as well. You can negotiate the adoption fee if you feel you have found a good home and refund the money after a few months.

Keep the kittens until you can get them spayed or neutered, or at least write up a sale contract where the new owner will agree to doing so at the appropriate age. There are too many people who don't know enough about the over population problem with dogs, cats, and even horses. So, don't advertise in the paper. Call a few shelters who can take them. They will make sure that the kittens will be altered so that your cats don't become part of the problem again. A shelter will do their best to find your kittens responsible owners who will love and care for their pet for the rest of their lives.
Spaying and neutering pet cats is the only way the burgeoning cat population problem will ever be brought under control. All the TNR (trap-neuter-return) groups, rescue people, and humane societies in the world will not have a chance to write done to their work until cat owners wake up, quit making excuses, and start neutering their cats.
I rarely get mad, because it is a draining and usually unrewarding experience, but I'm mad today. Why? Because of the latest of many similar news articles I've read about the same topic. This one is about the Calgary Humane Society, struggling with the problem of too many cats. That excellent agency takes in about 7,000 cats a year, and this year took in 300 more. Post flyers with pictures of all four kittens at local vet clinics and at grocery stores, post office, library and on the Internet! Good Luck to you and your kittens and in finding good homes for them.
I have a calico kitty 2 years old and she is my baby! My other cat is 18 and I call her Gramma Kitty.

Please get your cats fixed now. Also try to fix the kittens before they leave so they won't make more unwanted kittens. Like have an adoption fee and give back a certain amount after they get them fixed or find a vet that does it a 6 weeks.

the most popular place to advertise is in the newspaper. we have many cats and each time they have a litter we always have favorites so beware in those 8-12 weeks you'll most likely get attached to at least one of those kittens.

Why not just leave them at the SPCA? Alot of people go there to look for kittens :)

a lot of pet stores have billboards... some buisinessess allow you to put adds up on there walls and stuff... newspapers - etc.
