I would worry that she has gone so long. Call your vet.
Sometimes older females have uterine inertia, which means the labor will never start without help.

If she is on day 67, you should take her to the vet and have her looked at. She could have a puppy stick and not be able to have it. Sometimes they have uterine inertia also where the contractions do not start. A visit to the vet is advised. She may need a c-section. What kind of dog is she?

I have a dog that went through that, i was with the whole time but that's because she's very timid and feels safer with someone she trusts when she doesn't feel well. Have some clean steralized scissors just in case she doesn't cut the umbillical cord that good, and some clean cloths to change the dirty ones when she is done, it should start happening like within an hour or so.

YES stay with her. You don't know how she will act or if she will need you to break the bag and rub the pup. She might need your help - you never know. Sounds like she is close, just keep petting her head and when she starts to move around, back off, she is getting ready to deliver one. Don't let the kids all come in and watch (if that is an option), mom sounds a little nervous right now. Just keep her calm and keep the area quiet. Good Luck!

i would be worried as she has been in lab or for a long time plus she is over due, normally dogs pregnancy is normally 63 to 65 days, i would ring a vet as she may need help, if you need to check her temperature,it should be 1 degree below normal about 37 degrees, she may get too exhausted to give birth if you let her go too long. i would ring the vet immediately and take his or her advice. hope everything goes well

I used to reproduce and this isnt ordinary. If she has been in labour for extra advantageous than 4 hours and no sign of a pup then she needs scientific interest. do not try to rub lubericant on her as which would be risky, and doggies are VERY slippery so it wont help besides. Please take your canines to the vet, you bred her ideal? This isnt her fault and you shouldnt enable her go through. no rely what you think of she would be in soreness, canines cant shout "oh my god this hurts". Staying up all night would desire to have been ideal priority. i wouldn't in any respect bypass away a canines to delivery on my own something would desire to ensue. extremely with first litters my canines didnt even comprehend a thank you to interrupt the sac on the 1st few doggies i had to teach her, and get all of them respiration. Please do the nicely suited difficulty.

My experiance has been to leave them be and check on them every now and then. If this is not her first litter, you may need to help her in the end as far as opening the sacs and getting her to lick the pups. She may be tired and not want to. Also, if she is having a lot of pups, you may want to watch and make sure she doesn't sit on one. Let her do her thing, but check back frequently.

No one can tell how long whelping will be. Since this isn't her first litter, you must know if she needed or wanted help last time. Do the same now.

stay with her if it is not upsetting her or stay away , dogs are pretty self reliant and know what to do, but if she is pushing and struggling for more than hour with no pup or in between pups call a vet she might be having troubles
