we have just emigrated to canada,and we are trying to build our credit but we can't get a credit card?

until we are made permanent residents.does anyone know how we can get around this?

Scotia gives welcome to Canada visa against a security minimum is 1000. Alternatively call American Express or Citimastercard they give cards even if you have just started new to the country. I did for myself but dont get a lot of them then your credit report wont be good with Equifax.

Try going to the TD bank and have your accounts there, and inquire if you can get a TD Emerald card, I am not sure if that will help, but give it a try as they are a good bank.
