If someone got hit in the eye with a bb pellet it would blind them. You must phone the police, but emphasise that it is a bb gun and not live ammunition that is being fired.
Secondly it is up to the police as to whether they send a SWAT team or not. That is for them to decide, not you.

Go out and buy a air soft sniper rifle and locate there position and giving them a taste of being hit by 6mm BB or phone the police and film swat storming there house then sell the film to Sky news.

Tell the police, if this type of ant-social behaviour has a chance to get nipped in the bud, it could save a whole lot of grief later on. If you wish to remain anon, there is allways the crime stoppers line. They will not use an armed response team without it being confirmed by another policeman that it is needed. The kid could probably do with a little cs gas in the eyes as a lesson...

BB guns ARE guns ...as many have already said...hit someone in the eye and they are likely to be blinded!

If you are in the US I would suggest you contact the police and explain your concerns...they may go in with a little less fire power if you say you think its a kid. But although I don't live in the US I would be inclined to be wary as the gun culture there is scary.

Here in the UK, I would still contact the police, as it seems if you went a calling on the parents to discuss their offsprings behaviour, few seem to feel you have a right to do so and may take physical action...scary again!!

Just an FYI for you, I worked on the defense team of an adult who was doing this from his rooftop at night (same weapon).
He was charged with attempted murder when he hit someone in the arm. Attempted murder using a bb gun.

Damn near got convicted too, we barely got him off.

Find him, get hold of him and shoot him in the leg point blank with his BB gun. I did this to myself once, thinking it wouldnt hurt, but I was wrong. It hurt like hell, but didnt break the skin, and I''l never do it again. Make sure he knows WHY you're doing it though. Then break his gun into several pieces.

Call the law. Obviously the kid's parents aren't in charge of things-call the law.

It would serve him right to have a fully-armed police unit kicking the door in. Grass him up to the fuzz and watch the sparks fly.
