We received a one-cup coffeemaker and when we first tried it, there was a plastic taste to the coffee (from the water tank maybe?) I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a remedy for this ....

Try running plain vinegar through it, then brew another batch of coffee and throw it away. Also, you might want to try using filtered water and not tap. Good luck!

White vinegar is known as a cleaner of many foul odors. Pour it straight into the coffee maker and let it go through the entire system. throw tit away. Next, make coffee and throw it away. The machine should be ok to use now. ENJOY !!

There is alot of coffee maker cleaners out there. You just run them through your machine.

Since you have a one cup. Here is a website that you can order individual packets:

This should be done when you get it and every few months after that. I love coffee but nothing is worse than that plastic flavor.
