At middleweight roy jones was unstoppable. He had a lot of power to go with his speed. He would have never lost a fight there.

I really don't think he COULD have stayed at that weight. In time he would have become to heavy as he aged, and weakened by working his natural weight down that low. Look what happened when he moved down from heavy, he just wasn't the same. It would have been a matter of time, but someone unnoteworthy (like Tarver and Johnson eventually). Plus, I think as Hopkins aged, he would have rematched with a Hopkins win. Hopkins lost to Jones who lost to Tarver (twice) who lost to Hopkins lop sidedly at 41 years old. We may get to see Hopkins-Jones 2. There's talk about Hopkins fighting on July 14 2007.

I think the real question is if he never came down from heavy weight would he still be champ. When he moved down to light heavy weight after resculpting his body he look lethargic and sapped of his energy.

Definitely. He should have never fought Tarver after the first win.

That is a hard one, I would say no because Hopkins would have harrassed him the entire time he was there.
