I am a good cook and can cook pretty much anything if I put my mind to it. I want something differant but I'm not cool with eating any reptile or any kind of sushi. I also work till from 8am to 5pm so I need something I will have time to prepare when I get home from work or something that can cook in a crock pot all day long while I'm at work. Our favorites are chicken, steak , pork chops and shrimp. Any new ideas would be great!!! thanks

Try "Beef and Brew"
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 to 2 pounds stew beef or round steak
3 to 4 tablespoons flour
salt and pepper
1 can beer (12oz)
1 pkg. regular or beefy onion soup mix
1 pkg. brown gravy mix

Cut stew beef or steak into 1-inch cubes. Combine flour with a little salt and pepper in a bowl or food storgate bag; add beef cubes, a few at a time, and toss to coat. In a large skillet with a little oil, brown beef over medium heat, stirring to brown all sides.

In slow cooker, mix beer, soup mix and gravy mix. Add browned beef. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Serve with hot cooked noodles or potatoes.
Serves 4.

I recommend using an ale like Newcastle Brown or Hobgoblin. Really gives the beef a nice flavour. Or try Guiness.

buy a 1/4# of smoked salmon. Mix small amount of cream and parmesan cheese while warming, add 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Add any kind of vegie chopped very small 1/4 cup. Serve over pasta noodles. Easy on the cream - don't make the noodles swim.

I think an Italian pasta sounds good. One with grilled chicken and shrimp in a smokey cheese sauce topped with shredded cheese. YUM!
