I had the flu a few days ago and now my dog has been vomiting. Is this simple coincidence?

My pet rats could get sick every time I got sick so I had to be careful. My vet said that this is normal but I don't know if it works with cats or dogs. I would assume that it does though. If you know for a fact that you had the flu then you also know that there is nothing that you can do. The doggy will probably be fine so just give it time and take him to the vet if he gets really sick.

Ya know i could be wrong, but nearly a month ago i had the flu, and i've got two dogs, one being a 15 pounder and the other being nearly a 100lbs. Both in which stayed in my room with me, and both didn't catch my flu, so i'm going to have to say no to your question.

depends on the strain of the flu virus---most are NOT but some could be (like the bird flu, etc)

No the human sicknesses don't transfer to your pets....their systems are way different from ours! If he continues to vomit you may want to have him checked out!
