We are cruising in Feb. & are flying in one day early. We want to book a hotel that isn't too far from the port.

The cruise ships dock on the bay side of Old San Juan. Any hotel in Old San Juan or on San Juan Harbor should be fine. Here are some suggestions:

They only dock in the Old San Juan Harbor...so any hotel in Old San Juan will be Good and they all have Shuttle services from the Pier.

a favorite for cruiser's is a cute little place in CONDADO, called THE CORAL PRINCESS INN....shorth cab ride from the piers and OLD SAN JUAN....VERY NICE AREA AS WELL , and is within walking distance to the beach, shopping and many cafés and resturants...very affordable too ! here is the contact info..
