it sounds like your central locking mechanism is playing up ( i had the same thing happen to mine 4 door T reg diesel ) it cost around £80 to get it sorted out the garage said it is a common problem on the focus .
mine has been ok for 2 years now so maybe he was right ?

First of all it sounds like they have fitted the wrong wiring harness (you say it has gone from 2 lock to 1) reason for the two lock was the drivers side unlocks first and on the second press all the other locks open and also it could have been you had "deadlocks"
Confirm with the garage the right harness has been fitted.(Be warned that they are going to charge you) And for your current problem it sounds like the whole latch mechanism has failed. Its a common fault on Focus. its usally fixed by replacing the latch and checking the door ajar switches (which are near the hinge of the door). Go to your ford dealer and they'll sort it out for you

oh dear!!!!! ive replaced to many focus door locks to mention, wiring harness never been much of a problem, but the way its routed is, water dribbles down the harness and into the door lock mechanism electrics, then thats it!! it wont work, both front doors suffer from it, so more than likely 2 motors required, but definatly have the drivers one done first, if it wont lock the doors manually as any ford key does regardless of the key involved , then lock barrel will need replacing, diagnostics machine will change the 1 press back to 2 press, esp if the fuse had blown prevoisly. make sure you take it to ford dealer as they know these cars well and have locks instock allways, we do, as so common prblem
