It is probably a 4.0L V6 motor, a reliable engine from Ford, and like most reliable engines, if they are properly maintained (especially the regular oil changes at about 3,000 miles - oil is the blood of the vehicle), will last for a very long time. It is difficult to forecast the miles you will get, but you should hit 300,000 no problem. The trick is, once you start spending good money on the vehicle down the road, it is time to consider giving it up, because once problems start, they spread real quick and you'll spend a fortune in no time

Realistically, probably around 150,000 before it becomes more expensive than it is worth to fix, assuming you take care of it.
There will always be someone chiming in with a story about this or that car with 300,000 miles but unless it's an older Volvo, Mercedes or any Honda or Toyota then the story is a fairy tale or an isolated incident, trust me. 300,000 mile cars are pretty rare, especially when you're talking about an American vehicle. Not unheard of, but extremely extremely rare.

I had 240,000 miles before someone on an icy highway retired it. It had new control arm bushings, a new spare tire winch and a new pinion seal in all those years.

I have one, but under 100K. This applies to most cars, if you maintain them well and change the oil when it starts getting dirty, you should be able to get 300K out of it.
