He is angry that I want to go immediately when we have planned January to move into a new house. I live & work 6000 km away in Argentina and I now feel guilty that I cannot go immediately. But rather in a few weeks at the end of January. Although he is out of immediate danger and both my brother and mom are there, I still wanted to be with him in the early / difficult stages. My emotions are are mixed up from guilt to anger. Any advice?

I think you should follow your heart and go. You have 1 dad, and if he ever needed you, it is now. I made a phone call last nite to tell a lady her dad was in a cardiac arrest, and she was so upset that she was not able to be there.
If your dad knows your with him, that is what is important, not when he is in a coma or near dead and doesnt realize how much you care.

You need to immediately leave and be with your father.... Your husband is selfish for not supporting you and hopefully he gets over it by the time you return from seeing your father, if not then you have other decisions to make. In sickness and in health applies to all family members not just husband and wife.

Don't care about what your husband feels. Go to your father and see him immediately.

Go visit your father and never let anyone tell you that you can't.
